Reporters Without Borders (RSF) USA is collaborating with the Reynolds Journalism Institute to scale the World Press Freedom Index to create an interactive map tool that encompasses individual ratings for each U.S. state/territory based on legislative, safety, trust, economic and other factors for journalists.
As part of this process, we will be surveying working journalists and media experts in 50 states and five territories to assess the unique climate for reporting in each place, and we need your help!
Later this year, we will circulate the data collection questionnaire for the first time. Please complete the form below to receive this survey. Your participation will be critical in building what we hope will be an essential tool for journalists, students, academics, activists, and policymakers interested in U.S. press freedom.
